Position Summary
Friendswood Hospital ER is seeking a professional, organized, and creative Part-Time Marketing Assistant to support marketing, community outreach, social media, events, and administrative initiatives.
Working directly under the Marketer, the Marketing Assistant will support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, digital content, community partnerships, events, and day-to-day marketing operations. This position requires someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing a variety of responsibilities both in the office and throughout the community.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in marketing and content creation, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to represent Friendswood Hospital ER professionally when interacting with staff, patients, schools, businesses, vendors, and community organizations.
Key Responsibilities

Marketing & Content
- Assist the Marketer with the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and promotional initiatives.
- Capture and edit photo and video content for social media, digital marketing, and YouTube.
- Assist with the creation of Instagram Reels, Facebook content, YouTube Shorts, and long-form YouTube videos.
- Support the development of provider education, promotional, community, and behind-the-scenes content.
- Create graphics and marketing materials using Canva.
- Assist with scheduling, publishing, and organizing social media content.
- Help identify content opportunities and develop creative ideas for digital and social media.
- Maintain organized photo, video, and marketing asset libraries.
- Assist with print materials, signage, flyers, promotional pieces, and other marketing collateral.
Community Outreach & Events
- Assist the Marketer with community outreach initiatives involving local schools, businesses, organizations, and community partners.
- Contact schools, businesses, vendors, and community organizations regarding events, sponsorships, partnerships, and marketing opportunities.
- Assist with the planning, preparation, setup, execution, and breakdown of hospital and community events.
- Prepare swag bags, giveaways, sponsorship packages, promotional materials, and event supplies.
- Coordinate and complete local deliveries and pickups of marketing materials, donations, promotional products, and event supplies.
- Attend community events, school events, and other marketing initiatives as needed.
- Capture photos and video during events for future marketing and social media use.
- Represent Friendswood Hospital ER professionally within the community.
- Assist with maintaining and developing relationships with community partners.
Administrative & Marketing Operations
- Maintain marketing calendars, event schedules, contact lists, and project information.
- Make outreach and follow-up calls to schools, businesses, vendors, and community partners.
- Assist with coordinating appointments, meetings, deliveries, and marketing-related logistics.
- Organize and maintain inventory of marketing materials, promotional items, event supplies, and branded merchandise.
- Assist with researching community events, sponsorship opportunities, vendors, and potential partnerships.
- Support the organization and execution of current and future marketing initiatives.
- Perform additional marketing-related duties and projects as assigned by the Marketer.
Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in marketing, communications, social media, event coordination, administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience creating photo and video content for social media preferred.
- Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Reels, and YouTube Shorts preferred.
- Experience with Canva and basic video-editing software preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Professional interpersonal skills and confidence communicating by phone, email, and in person.
- Ability to work independently while taking direction and collaborating effectively with the Marketer and other hospital departments.
- Professional demeanor when representing Friendswood Hospital ER in the community.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for local errands, deliveries, and community events.
- Ability to occasionally lift, load, transport, and set up event supplies and promotional materials.

Work hours may vary based on marketing initiatives, projects, and scheduled community events. Occasional evening or weekend availability may be required for events and community outreach activities.
